From Cricket Fantasy to Life’s Realities
Like many 90s kids, I dreamed of becoming a cricketer, inspired by the iconic Sharjah innings where Sachin Tendulkar took on Australia. Cricket was everything from gully matches to proudly representing my school team.
But life had other plans. A serious injury on the field led to major surgery and over a year of recovery. That phase changed everything. It taught me resilience, acceptance, and the courage to pivot.
Engineer To Entrepreneur
Like many Indian households, the path seemed predefined: engineering first, clarity later. I pursued Electrical Engineering, carrying forward a family legacy of electrical engineers before me.
During college, I discovered something deeper—leadership. From organizing cultural festivals to leading student bodies as President of multiple clubs, I learned how to turn ideas into action.
That journey from a curious student to a purpose-driven leader eventually led me to represent Hartek Group, founded in 1991, on global platforms like COP28 in 2023.
Accepting Challenges For a Sustainable Future
Challenges have always brought out the sportsman in me. After multiple campus rejections, I secured my first role in 2011—a moment that felt earned.
My training at Areva (now Schneider Electric) on the shop floor gave me firsthand exposure to power equipment, discipline, and the realities of the energy sector. The deeper I studied the industry, the clearer my purpose became: reliable electricity is not just infrastructure, it’s opportunity.
That conviction led me to join my father’s business, at a 20% lower salary. It wasn’t just a career decision—it was a commitment to building a more sustainable energy future.
